Privacy policy

What this site collects

EveryMaid has no accounts, no login, and no newsletter. You can use the entire directory without giving us anything.

We collect what you type only when you choose to send it: a correction or listing request submitted through the report form. That includes the message, the listing it refers to, and an email address if you provide one. We use it to fix the listing and to reply. We do not add it to a mailing list and we do not sell it.

Advertising

This site displays advertising served by third parties. Those partners may set cookies or use similar technology to measure and target ads, and they collect that data under their own policies rather than ours. Where Google serves ads, its practices are described in Google’s advertising privacy notice, and you can opt out of personalised ads through Google’s ad settings.

Analytics

We use aggregate traffic measurement to understand which pages are useful. It records page views, referrer, and coarse location at city level. It does not build a profile of you across other sites.

Ratings from other sites

When a listing page loads, this site requests the current rating for that business from Yelp and Google. That request comes from our server, not your browser, so those companies do not receive your IP address through us. We do not store the ratings we receive.

Business information

Listings contain business contact details compiled from public sources. If you own a listed business and want your information corrected or removed, write to hello@everymaid.nyc and we will action it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@everymaid.nyc. Because we hold very little, most of these requests resolve quickly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
