Construction dust behaves differently
Gypsum dust from drywall is far finer than household dust. It stays airborne for hours, works into fabric and behind trim, and settles again after you think the room is finished. A standard vacuum makes it worse by blowing it back out through the exhaust.
That is why post-construction cleaning uses HEPA-filtered equipment and takes multiple passes over several days rather than one long visit.
